Born as “AGRICULTURAL COLONY” in 1858 in the aftermath of a violent earthquake that devastated the Vallo di Teggiano and Basilicata, Battipaglia became an autonomous municipality with a Royal Decree of March 28, 1929.
On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the birth of the Municipality of Battipaglia, on March 28, 2019 ceremonies and celebrations will take place in the city.
Following hours:
- 10.30 am CEREMONY OPENING in Piazza Aldo Moro;
- 11.00 am FANFARA PARADE X CARABINIERI REGION (with passage through Via Mazzini, Piazza della Repubblica and Sanctuary);
- 12.00 Exhibition of the Fanfare – Sanctuary of S. Maria della Speranza;
- 6.30 pm Concert of the Fanfare in Piazza Aldo Moro.
